2015 – Deconstruction Reconstruction Mondrian (18:30 min) - Shown at the Venice Biennale 2015 in the exhibition Personal Structures – Crossing Borders, Palazzo Bembo. Since Lisette Huizenga started painting, she has been fascinated by the different spaces in which our existence unfolds, and by the evolution that time adds to space. From the Renaissance (Michelangelo) to the abstract art of Mondrian, she sought new ways to express space. That is why she left brush and paint behind and started working digitally.

In Venice, she exhibited Deconstructing/Reconstructing Mondrian: a three-dimensional, moving painting in which walls seamlessly merge. The work plays with the boundary between illusion and reality and shows a continuous evolution of forms and relationships.

Together with composer Kerry Woodward, she created a sensory experience in which the boundaries between clarity and complexity, between the real and the imaginary, seem to disappear for a moment.
