Metakosmia Tea Set is a series of porcelain art objects designed by Lisette Huizenga in collaboration with Karel Bodengom and De Porseleinen Fles. The distinctive Metakosmia pattern flows seamlessly from teapot to cups and saucers, creating a cohesive sculptural tea set.
In this work, Huizenga and Bodengom play with the tension between functional utensil and autonomous artwork. By stacking the individual pieces, the tableware transforms into a sculptural installation.
