Painter’s Studio II is an immersive digital painting by Lisette Huizenga, created in 2010. The work was created to emphasize that her digital works are real paintings. At a time when digital art was regularly dismissed as “not painted,” this work shows the media she works with – photos and patterns – and how these can be used as contemporary paint. The painting invites reflection on what painting means in the digital age.
